Its shores are surrounded by reed beds, wet meadows, and alder and willow forests, which provide refuge to numerous animal species.<br \/>\nAmong the aquatic plants, the water chestnut (Trapa natans) stands out, a botanical rarity that still finds an ideal habitat here.<br \/>\nThe area is rich in migratory and aquatic birds\u2014including herons, coots, mallards, and grebes\u2014making the lake a perfect destination for birdwatchers and nature photographers.<br \/>\nTrails and Activities<br \/>\nLake Ragogna is part of the European Natura 2000 network as a Site of Community Importance (SCI), recognized for its biodiversity and the presence of habitats of natural and scientific interest.<br \/>\nIts conservation is managed through environmental protection projects and nature education trails.<br \/>\nA convenient 4-kilometer cycle\/pedestrian loop allows you to explore the entire perimeter of the lake. The trail is flat and suitable for everyone: families, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts.<br \/>\nThere are rest areas, picnic tables, and a viewing tower for bird watching and sunsets along the way.<br \/>\n\u2022The trail is not particularly difficult and is accessible year-round.
