This unique phenomenon is due to underground water circulation that maintains a constant temperature between 9 and 11\u00b0C year-round.<br \/>\nApproximately 140 meters long and with a maximum depth of 8 meters, the lake is distinguished by the absence of visible inlets and outlets, creating a natural spectacle of pure crystalline clarity.<br \/>\nFlora and Fauna: A Paradise of Biodiversity<br \/>\nThe reserve is a true paradise for biodiversity lovers, home to a vast array of plant and animal species. The unique climatic conditions favor the development of xerophilous vegetation (adapted to arid environments) on rocks and scree, while the banks of the Tagliamento River are characterized by lush floodplain vegetation.<br \/>\nThe true star of the reserve is the griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus), a majestic vulture and the subject of a major international conservation project.
