The Museum of Medal Art and the City of Buja, inaugurated in 1998 and housed since 2006 in an 18th-century farmhouse in the picturesque village of San Lorenzo a Buja, is a place of great cultural appeal. This unique museum celebrates the local medal-making tradition that has made Buja famous internationally.
The exhibition is spread over two floors, with six thematic rooms divided into:
1. Archaeological Section – A journey into the historical roots of Buja, through artifacts that recount the ancient history of the area.
2. Medal Art Section – A tribute to the master engravers of Buja who, throughout the 20th century, transformed medals into true works of art. The collection includes works of art of national and international importance, testifying to the evolution of this fascinating art.
